Although Cornerstone Bible Church and Little Light Church are located some 10,516 kilometers (about 6,534 miles) apart, and in two distinct cultures, we are united by our one Lord, Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:5-6).
While in Japan the team will be putting on a summer English camp for children in the community. The theme of the English camp will be based upon Psalm 23. We will also be doing some English language based community outreach.
Psalm 23 is written by David, and he begins the Psalm by saying, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want”. The remainder of the song then is essentially David praising the Lord God for all of the various blessings which come from being a part of His flock.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth and became a man, and lived the perfect life, and then died on the cross anyways, so that anyone who places their faith in him could also become a part of God's flock. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep. Nobody can come to God except through Him, and anybody who repents from their sin and places their faith in Jesus Christ can be reconciled to God!
If you already know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then we would greatly cherish your prayers for our trip. If you do not yet know Jesus Christ through faith, then we pray that you would.
